Mike Connors played private eye Joe Mannix from 1967 to 1975. One of those hard-boiled investigators that couldn’t be bought, bribed or fooled he sovled cases and brought criminals to justice for 8 seasons. Joined in the second season my secretary Peggy Fair (Gail Fisher) the show proved to be extrememly popular.
The early episodes had Mannix wearing a suit and tie more often. Once the 70s hit, Mannix got increasingly more casual. I cringe at some of the fashions on some episodes (I try to forget the “leisure suit”) but other than that Mannix was pretty cool.
Note: the pilot episode was shot in Palm Springs just a few years before my family arrived there so all the locations look like they did when I was kid–especially the Pal Springs Aerial Tramway.
Mannix is currently on the MeTV lineup so if you’ve never seen it or want to watch it again, that’s the place. if you love all those old private eye shows (especially Mannix) you’ll love hanging this print in your home. Check out the other private eyes on this site, too!
These prints are approximately 8″x11″ on watercolor paper, All screen prints ship UNFRAMED.
