Liberace (1919-1987), had a career that spanned decades. Known as a consummate pianist, flamboyant style of dress (later imitated by Elton John) and signature candelabras, Liberace entertiained audiences in film, television and on stage. He was one of the highest paid entertainers in Las Vegas for years. Fans of the Batman series with Adam West will recall his guest appearance on the show as the concert pianist Chandell.

As a fan of Andy Warhol, I had him in mind when creating this image of Liberace. Set on a field of purple, Liberace’s hands and face are highlighted in golden yellow rectilinear shapes. Liberace’s body is rendered in black ink.

The original, limited edition screen print measures 11 inches by 17 inches, ink on watercolor paper. This original artwork will ship unframed. For lovers of classic TV, music or just plain kitsch, having this print on your wall will be a unique conversation piece.

This is a series of 30 prints, each signed and numbered by me (your humble artist). Sales are first come, first served and buyers will receive the lowest number available in the series. Note that each print may contain minor variations and/or slight imperfections inherent in the screen printing process.
